Derry Well Women features in a new video launched this week by the Western Health and Social Care Trust. The video is part of a drive to highlight support services for those affected by cancer.
The Western Trust say they “want to ensure and encourage people who have been affected by cancer to seek and find the help they need, whether that is spiritual support, counselling, complementary therapies or financial advice – if there is an issue that you are concerned about, organisations are out there to help you.”
A spokesperson for the Trust says there are a “range of organisations that provide Cancer Support in the West. We are very grateful for these organisations for the important role they play providing emotional and often practical support to people when they receive a cancer diagnosis, throughout treatment and after finishing treatment.”
The organisations they specifically mention in this support drive are Derry Well Women, Action Cancer, Cancer Connect NI, Cancer Focus NI, and The Pink Ladies. The full video they produced for this initiative introduces you to each of these organisations and highlights some of the services that each provides and how it has helped individuals. Check out the WHSC Trust page for more details here.
