Derry Well Women has started 2017 with a huge boost, following a packed Enrolment day this week for January to March courses, classes and programmes.
Enrolment took place on Tuesday 10th January and “saw 220 women book in to all programmes which are now full,” says Derry Well Women General Manager, Susan Gibson. “This is great news. We even had some queuing from 8am! We are delighted with the demand because it shows that we are continuing to provide the programmes that women want.”
“Once again our mental health & well being, and our mother & baby programmes proved the most popular. To those who missed out on enrolment day, please remember that some of our services don’t require advance enrolment. For example, our Breastfeeding Support Group is always open to women who are breastfeeding or are planning to breastfeed – it meets every Thursday morning from 10am to 12pm. Find out more here.
“We also run a Cancer Support Group and an MS Support Group,” says Susan. Find out about other support groups here. Several of our services are offered by appointment only, such as our Menopause clinic on Friday mornings from 10am to 12.30pm and our Podiatry Clinic.
“And don’t forget, we run a range of Counselling services both general and more specialist, such as Cancer Counselling and Miscarriage Support.” You can find out more about our counselling services here. For further information on any of these services, or to book an appointment, please call us on 028 71 360777. From Donegal or across the border, that number is 04871 360777.
Finally, we also offer creche services for those who are using Derry Well Women. “Creche facilities are available for children aged from eight weeks to pre-school age, whose parents, guardians or carers are using the services offered by Derry Well Women.” Find out more about our creche here.
“All of us at Derry Well Women would like to wish all of you the very best for 2017!”
