The Derry Well Women Centre is seeking to recruit four sessional Counsellors to join our team. We offer a range of counselling services to women in the north west. These Posts are Funded by the Western Health and Social Care Trust and the Victims and Survivors Service.

About Derry Well Women
Derry Well Women is a not-for-profit centre which offers health and social care services to women of all ages in a welcoming, relaxed, safe and confidential space.
Our approach is holistic – based on meeting our clients’ physical, mental and emotional needs, with the help of our health, well-being and social care experts. And this approach works! We are an award-winning centre of excellence, respected by health professionals and used by over 2,000 women each year.
Our services cover areas as diverse as cancer, mental health, and fitness, to parenting, breastfeeding support, miscarriage and menopause. We deliver our services via clinics, programmes, courses, classes, support groups and counselling and other one-to-one services.
What we need from Counsellor candidates
Essential Criteria for these four posts include:
- Accredited by BACP / IACP or equivalent
- 450 Supervised client hours
- Mental Health First Aid Certificate
- ASIST Certificate
- Certificate in Working with Trauma
We are offering an Hourly Rate of £35 per hour on a Fractioned Paid basis i.e. one hour paid to one hour voluntary. In house supervision is provided.
