This six week course is designed to support women who may be experiencing depression or underlying anxiety.
This course aims to teach coping skills which women affected by depression or anxiety can use to help deal with their symptoms.
what will the course be like
The course is absed on a Well Woman approach and is delivered by a qualified health worker. Over the six weeks participants will look at what depression and anxiety is. The course examines:
- the different types of depression
- how they affect the individual
- what the warning signs are
- how to cope with these
You will also be given information on complementary therapies, diet and sleep. The facilitator can also discuss the use of prescription drugs.
