confidence to question

The first ‘Confidence to Question’ course ran on the Leitrim/Fermanagh border between May and July 2006.

This 8 week training course will be available to women on a cross border basis and the next one will be delivered in Strabane/Lifford Women’s Centre, Railway Road, Strabane, from Tuesday 1st May and will run weekly until Tuesday 19th June 2007. This course is free to participants.

We all have experiences of dealing with health professionals, our family doctor, hospital doctors, nurses, etc. We may feel anxious or lacking in confidence when talking to them and come away feeling frustrated and angry with ourselves, we don’t feel confident enough to ask the appropriate question and come away feeling silly and not informed properly about our particular issue…..

It is important to ensure that you have a good relationship with your healthcare professional to enable them to provide the support/treatment that you and your family may need.

This programme is designed to help you achieve this.
