These sessions will be sector specific but will all focus on common issues for communities on both side of the border which could be improved by a cross border approach.

about the sessions

The sessions will be sector specific:

  • three on health
  • three on councils
  • two on education

The agenda for these sessions will be set by representatives from our target groups and will include discussion on:

  • communication / information
  • access to services / uniformity of provision
  • staff attitudes
  • childcare provision
  • residential care / carers support

the first session

The first session dealth with health - it was held in Donegal Town on 8th May. It was attended by representatives from:

  • Altnagelvin Hospital HSS Trust
  • Foyle Health and Social Services Trust
  • Western Health Social Services Board
  • Health Services Executive - North West Division
  • voluntary and community groups from around the North west
